Hands in El Salvador

Hands in El Salvador by GP Featured Photographer Cristina Robeck

Photography has always held a special place in my heart. Since I was 5 years old I can remember having a camera in my hands. Photography has taken me on many adventures, but the one I love the most is each moment that composes life with my family. I can remember looking into one of my photographs and seeing it come to life for the first time. It was that moment that lead me to want to tell people about how deeply they are loved. I hope as people buy a print and gaze into it, they will be reminded of how deeply God loves them, because he truly does.

People inspire me. I believe in walking alongside people and encouraging them along the way. I believe that every person has the right to dream and see that dream achieved in one way or another. About five years ago, along with my husband, 3-year-old daughter and 1-year-old son, we lead a team of students on a trip to El Salvador to work alongside our partner charity ENLACE. It was there that God got a hold of my heart for giving back through business. Back then I would have never dreamt that I would be here today with so many amazing people.

It was last year on a missions training trip after talking to our featured photographer and friend Aaron Young that the idea of Give Prints came to be. I founded Give Prints in order to share my love of photography and business with others. Give Prints was born out of my desire to help fellow photographers publicize their work while helping worthy organizations share love around the world. I am excited to have 16 photographers on our team. These photographers have generously donated their photographs so that we can help love people around the world through our partnerships with our team of charities.

Give Prints is a for-profit company working to GIVE 50 percent of our profits to various nonprofits. The focus is built on relationships and community. I believe in community and partnership. I want to partner with the photographers and charities for the long haul in order to make a lasting impact in people’s lives.

This last year I was inspired by the giving of not just Give Print’s finances but the giving of our talents as well. While working together with various partner nonprofit organizations, I saw the need for media resources and personnel dedicated to tell their stories effectively. Give Prints Media (“GP Media”) hopes to fill that void and give back to our partner charities by helping them in media development.

I was honored to lead our first GP Media team is last May to El Salvador to work with our partner charity ENLACE. The GP Media team is open to giving its resources and sharing its media talents; the whole team moves in different capacities and talents. We are excited to love people around the world with our gifts of filmmaking, photography and public relations. Our time in El Salvador this past May was amazing. We not only produced but also trained their team with invaluable skills to create effective marketing pieces. Our journey consisted of visiting several rural communities in El Salvador such as Abelines, Anemona, Las Delicias and La Bendición that have benefited through ENLACE’s various community programs. It proved to be a week full of sharing and giving as well as learning priceless lessons from one another.

GP Media will be continuing our work with ENLACE in order to train and collaborate to produce effective visual marketing materials to help further their organization’s cause. The giving of our talents will help save organizations like ENLACE thousands of dollars typically used towards marketing and instead investing those funds directly towards their initiatives. My hope is to offer our media talents through Give Prints to our other partner charities so that they can benefit from our gifts of giving.

I believe that GIVING should be at the core of business. My desire is to GIVE so that people are loved in tangible ways, GIVING 50 percent of our profits and of our talents to our partner charities allows that to happen. My hope is that as people buy a photograph, a wood canvas or one of our amazing tees and gaze into it, they will be reminded of how deeply they are loved. I am proud to be running alongside some great GIVERS, our photographers who gave of their talent and our partner charities that are at the forefront of tangibly loving people around the world.

Just as one values the beauty of a print, Give Prints values the beauty of lives changed. The heart of Give Prints is to help people send love to others through the purchasing of an image. We are committed to partnering with organizations that are already doing amazing work. Some of our featured charities are The Weingart Center, International Princess™ Project and Three Angels Children’s Relief.

For every photograph sold you are helping to send love to people and helping to:

  •   Bring hope to children in Haiti.
  •   Fight cancer.
  •   Fight for children around the world.
  •   Transform communities in El Salvador.
  •   Free women from prostitution in India.
  •   Bring relief and hope to people in Japan.
  •   Bring hope to the surf community around the world.
  •   Break the cycle of homelessness.
  •   Helping to meet the needs of families.

The hope is that we will be able to show people around the world that they are loved.

I love of those working hands you can tell they been working all her life....

Interesting idea! It reminds me of a similar project, where photography prints where sold in order to buy food for homeless people or people in need. If i remember it right, you also sold prints for them, didn't you jeremy? Sadly i forgot the name of that organisation...
